What reasons led to our project?

- The agricultural sector frequently encounters challenging situations such as worldwide events and especially the Covid-19 pandemic.

These difficulties have once again emphasized the importance of agricultural production.

However, during this process we realized that keeping up with digital transformation has been a challenge for women farmers and their cooperatives.

At this point, the focus of our project is to ensure that women farmers are actively involved in sustainable production and to help them benefit from the advantages of e-commerce in this process.

- The primary reason for our project is to understand the difficulties faced by women farmers and to help them overcome these difficulties.

The goal of the project

  1. As Silivri Municipality, we aim to provide the necessary training and support to empower women farmers and adapt them to the needs of modern agriculture. This project is designed to guide women farmers in areas such as cooperatives, effective communication, marketing, career counseling and digital transformation.
  2. Our aim is to reveal the potential of women farmers and offer them an opportunity to strengthen their place in sustainable production. This project aims to create an impact not only locally but also nationally and internationally.
  3. As a result, with our project, we aim to shape the future success of women farmers and reduce inequalities in the agricultural sector. On this path, our primary goal is to ensure that women farmers keep up with digital transformation and support them for a sustainable agricultural future.

The specific objectives of the project are:

  1. Strengthening the capacity of agricultural women's cooperatives by improving cooperation with adult education and providing innovative training
  2. To encourage cooperatives among women and to raise awareness about women's entrepreneurship in rural areas.
  3. To solve problems in the field of agricultural cooperatives by sharing the knowledge and experiences of participating institutions.
  4. To provide women farmers with advanced training in agricultural cooperatives at EU level.
To reach wider audiences by disseminating the project results.
  5. Contributing to the European Commission and Erasmus+ priorities with women's empowerment, rural development, sustainability and digital transformation.
